Specially selected luxurious sheepskins from Icelandic Lambs. A wonderful natural pure black colour - not dyed. These are from eco-friendly, high welfare sheep.
About the Black Sheepskins
Each one is completely unique, the colour of the black varies from sheep to sheep; these lambskins are completely natural, not fake fur and not dyed in any way. These skins are safely tanned with ecological tannins.
They have an incredibly luxurious texture to suit any home and any room.
Size of these Sheepskin Rugs
Each sheep skin is as unique as the animal it came from, the size varies. Although the minimum size of this white sheepskin is 100cm in length.
These are approximately 92cm or 36 inches in length when measured on the fur side, approximately 80cm or 31 inches when measured on the skin side.
Texture of these Icelandic Sheepskin Rugs
These rugs are made from Icelandic sheep skins, so they have a soft long fibre length - designed to keep these sheep warm in cold climates. The length of the fur varies from skin to skin but it is on average 5 - 7 inches long and is wonderfully soft to the touch.
Animal Welfare is paramount.
This Eco Friendly Sheepskin is a by product of high-welfare meat production. Produced in the EU, under the European Union’s strict animal welfare standards - this product is far superior to mass produced Australian Sheepskins. Most of the sheepskins available on the market are Chinese or Australian, with lower welfare standards.
Why choose Icelandic Sheepskin?
Icelandic sheep are naturally long haired with a very soft fleece. The sheep fleece is made up of 2 parts the outer fibres which are soft, long and silky, and shorter inner hairs which are thicker for warmth. But choosing this sheepskin you are getting a lovely feeling skin which is incredibly silky and tactile, while being one of the warmest available.

The funny thing about Moorit Sheep
The funny thing about Moorit (brown) sheep is that on our farm, at least they stick together in a group. Even if they are in a larger flock of sheep, when you need to move them or there is any danger, the Moorits will always be together.
